WWWE Logo Scalable

Scalable indicates an ability to change or adapt to different sizes. The term is commonly applied to type fonts that allow the generation of a wide range of sizes from a common paradigm, as with TrueType fonts. The term is also be used to describe an ability to accommodate arbitrary large and small processing loads (as in "scalable processor architecture"), or to the ability to expand and adapt, as in the notion that scalable Web sites are designed to accommodate an increase in the number of pages or the number of links within a page.
